Sonax CC EVO V2

Sonax CC EVO V2, also known as Sonax Ceramic Coating EVO V2, is the professional ceramic coating from the Sonax PROFILINE product line. CC EVO V2 is the latest development in Sonax's ceramic coatings and is the evolved version of Sonax CC EVO and CC36. It is also the more professional version of CC One.

Sonax CC EVO V2 provides long-lasting protection for up to 5 years or 50,000 km when properly applied and maintained. CC EVO V2 will add extra color, shine, and reflection to the paintwork, significantly improving the appearance of the car. At the same time, it will also provide the paintwork with an extra protective layer, making it more resistant to wash scratches and dirt. In addition, the surfaces will also be extremely water and dirt repellent, so your car will stay clean longer and be easier and quicker to clean. The coating has a water contact angle of 112°, which is very good. It also has a pH tolerance of pH 2 to pH 11.

Sonax CC EVO consists of two layers of coating. One layer of base coating for good adhesion to the paintwork and one layer of gloss coating for added shine, reflection, and the typical ceramic water and dirt-repellent properties. This set contains enough product to treat two cars. The base coat uses an aerosol spray, which means that the product does not start to harden after first use, unlike other coatings. You can store it safely without crystallization. The gloss coat is a dropper that is completely airtight, but to be on the safe side, we recommend that you first wipe the dropper thoroughly with a microfiber cloth before using it for the second time and do not use the first few drops.

To achieve the best performance and longest durability of the coating, it is important to give the paintwork a good pre-treatment. This involves washing the car thoroughly, removing iron particles and tar, and then removing stubborn dirt with a clay treatment. It is also recommended to polish the paintwork to remove any paint defects before applying a long-lasting coating. This is because any paint defects underneath the coating cannot be removed without also removing the coating. In addition, polishing also ensures a clean and flat surface, allowing the coating to adhere better and deliver better performance. After that, it is necessary to degrease the paintwork with a surface degreaser such as Sonax Prepare and a microfiber cloth. The microfiber cloth and Prepare are not included in the set.

Use the coating in a cool, dry place. Make sure you have at least two hours to apply the coating and that there is no water left in any cracks or edges. Once the car is prepared and completely dry and degreased, you can start applying Sonax CC EVO V2. First, spray a little Basecoat EVO onto the white side of the application sponge provided. Spread the product in horizontal and vertical overlapping movements over an area of approximately 50x50cm. Ensure that the product is spread evenly. After 2-3 minutes, remove the excess product with a thick microfiber cloth, preferably without edges, such as the Sonax Coating Towel. Take a second clean microfiber cloth and rub the treated area again and an extra 10 cm beyond it to ensure that all excess product is removed. Change sides of the microfiber cloth regularly and replace if necessary. We recommend disposing of used microfiber cloths, as the coating will harden in the microfibers and create sharp crystals that can cause paint damage when used again.

If you find it difficult to remove the excess product, you can apply a small amount of product to the applicator again and rub it over the area again, then immediately remove it with a microfiber cloth. The new application will soften the old product, allowing you to remove it. The reason you are having difficulty removing it may be because you used too much product, waited too long to remove the excess product, or because the surface is warm, which accelerated the curing process. Adjust your technique so that the product can remain on the surface for as long as possible but is still easy to remove.

Treat the entire car in this way. If you feel that the applicator is starting to harden, it is best to use a new one. After you have treated the entire car with Basecoat EVO, wait 1 hour, then take the Glosscoat EVO and apply 4 drops to a new, clean applicator. Treat the entire car again in the same way. You should now wait 1 to 5 minutes before removing the excess product. If the product is difficult to remove, first make sure that you are not using too much product and, in the next step, remove the excess product a minute earlier so that it wipes off easily.

Allow the paint to dry for the first 4 hours without touching it or allowing it to come into contact with water or chemicals. We recommend not washing the car for the first 1 to 2 weeks. After 24 hours, the car may be hosed down with water if it becomes dirty.

It may be advisable to use Sonax Ceramic Detailer from time to time to reinforce the ceramic properties of Sonax CC EVO V2.
